Don’t know what the heck you’re doing? From the second you show up it’s our job to make it look like you do. After the first lesson you’re guaranteed to have the knowledge and skill to call yourself a surfer and take your new found obsession to any level you’d like.

At Redondo Surf Club, we specialize in private and group lessons and instruction in the South Bay including Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, Palos Verdes and surrounding areas.

Private surf lessons

Private lessons are by far the most effective way to fast-track your success. All equipment is provided all you need to do is show up!

Topics covered include:

Paddling, proper stance and balance, the “pop up”, ensuring good habits, reading and reacting to the ocean, dynamics of a wave, understanding conditions, necessary mindset, speed power and flow.

✔   90 min of one-on-one surfing instruction.

✔   Surfboard and wetsuit are provided.

Group surf lessons

Interesting first date idea!? Or just have some fun with your friends and take a group surfing lesson. Come join us and the local dolphins and get surfing.

Topics covered include:

6 private surf lessons

This includes 6 private surf lessons that will take you beyond the basics. Learn more about wave direction, turning technique, positioning in the lineup, and proper timing. Achieve an understanding of speed and flow while on a wave with this package.

The Pro

Master the experience of surfing.

9 private surf lessons

You will master advanced paddling form, frontside and backside technique, pumping and advanced turns. We'll also discuss where you’d like to take your surfing and structure a curriculum that meets your needs whether that's transitioning to a short board or taking trips to more advanced surfing locations.
